Golden Malabar Kopi Luwak

When the best arabica has been fermented inside the properly bred civet's digestive system, nature has given us the best coffee in the world. In Golden Malabar Indonesia we have 3 kinds of Kopi Luwak:

WILD LUWAK BEANS

BRED LUWAK BEANS

HIGHEST GRADE OF LUWAK PEABERRY

Wild Luwak Beans

Our Rehabilitation Center has released 51 civets before Oct 2014, and also hundreds of wild civets from the original native area. Civets come in the night to pick the sweetest coffee cherries as snacks. When they finished, the wild civets will leave their digested waste in the farm. When in the early morning, our farmers will pick and collect the wild Luwak beans back for the refining of Kopi Luwak.

Bred Luwak Beans

Golden Malabar has patented our special way of breeding the civets in Indonesia. Each civet lives in a wide space of 5 by 4 meters. Within the space, coffee trees were planted to create a natural environment.

Every day after 5pm in the afternoon, each civet wakes up and look for food. Our farm will prepare fresh fruits such as banana, papaya, and apples that have passed food safety check. After eating the meals, the civets will select and eat the most
delicious coffee cherries as snacks.

Highest Grade of
Luwak Peaberry

Most of the rare pea berries grow on the end of the branches. The civets will use their sensitive nose to find and eat the most delicious fruits, and the pea berries will then be collected. Pea berries is only about 10% of the total coffee production. It is very rare, therefore its price is relatively higher.
