Golden Malabar Estate Civet Rehabilitation Center is strongly supported by the Indonesian government. The estate currently houses 87 civets, with over a hundred wild civets living in the area. The fruits consumed by the civets (such as bananas, papayas, apples, etc.) are tested for quality, and regular health check-ups are conducted on the civets. They are also fed vitamin C and honey to ensure that each civet receives balanced nutrition and proper care.
Each year, the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries of Bandung regency visits Golden Malabar Estate to conduct health checks on the civets. If any civet is found to be unhealthy, Golden Malabar Estate will call a veterinarian to administer vaccinations and medical treatment (Intermectin Super). To maintain the civets' health and vitality, the Department also provides medication and vitamins (Biosan TP) to help sustain their physical condition and strengthen their muscles.
