We release civets regularly back to the forest to maintain the balance of civet's population in the forest, also to have a wild civet coffee ready for production.
On May 2018, we have our first documented release. We have Lili (84 months old), and Jack (60 months old) released back to the wild. We put them into small cage, then have them carried to the more remote part of our coffee plantation in the forest. There we feed them papaya for the last time so they would not starve on their first day in the forest.
After opening Lili's cage, she walk slowly out, and took a stroll around the forest. For Jack, he ran away hide among the trees as soon as we opened his cage. We hope they enjoy their life back in the forest.
